In a recent interview for SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, action superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed his concern of raising “a generation of wimps and weak people” by raising kids too softly. He said, “It’s nice to be considerate, I totally agree with that,” Schwarzenegger said. “But let’s not over-baby the kids, and let’s not over-baby the people.”

The Terminator actor stressed the importance of teaching kids to become “tough” and “go through those painful moments.” He compared our mind to a bicep and said just like a muscle develops when it goes through pain and stress, so does the human mind. “The more you struggle, the further you’re going to go, and the stronger you’re going to get.”

When children are taught to get up after each failure and do the hard work again and again, they become stronger. The actor continued that the USA was not built by indolent people. It was built by “ballsy women and men that went out at 5 in the morning, and got up, and struggled, and fought and they worked their butts off. That’s what made this country great.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger is considered one of the biggest action stars in the world. He started his career as a bodybuilder and then tried his hand as an actor. Some of his remarkable films include Conan the Barbarian (1982), Conan the Destroyer (1984), The Terminator (1984), Red Sonja (1985), Commando (1985), Raw Deal (1986), The Running Man (1986), The Running Man (1987), Predator (1987) and Red Heat (1988). The return of his well-known character in the James Cameron science fiction film Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) gained huge commercial success.

The former California governor appeared on The Howard Stern Show to promote his new book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. In this self-help book, the Hollywood superstar has given “seven tools” for finding life’s purpose – clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back to society. In the interview, the actor expressed his desire for young men and women to be comfortable with difficult situations in life. That, according to him, is what expands mental resilience.
