Bollywood actress Ananya Panday turned heads at the Zee Cine Awards with her stunning sari look. Known for mixing traditional Indian wear with a modern twist, Ananya once again impressed fans and fashion lovers with her graceful yet glamorous outfit.

A Perfect Blend of Soft and Shiny

For the big event, Ananya wore an ivory sari designed by Masaba Gupta. The sari had a soft and elegant vibe, while her gold strapless blouse added a bit of sparkle and structure. This contrast between soft fabric and metallic shine made the whole look unique and eye-catching.

Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the outfit was more about subtle beauty than loud fashion. The blouse had beautiful embroidery and a corset-style shape, which gave it a modern edge. The sari itself had a simple gold sequin border that added just the right amount of shimmer.

Elegant Accessories and Soft Makeup

To complete the look, Ananya wore a lovely layered pearl choker with a knotted design from Gazdar Jewellers. She also carried a crescent-shaped clutch that perfectly matched her outfit. Her hair was tied up in a relaxed bun, which added to the soft and graceful look.

When it came to makeup, Ananya kept it minimal and fresh. She chose dewy skin, soft nude lips, and well-defined eyes. This helped keep the focus on her outfit, while still giving her a glowing appearance.

A Love for Modern Saris

This isn’t the first time Ananya has worn a sari in a modern way. She often chooses styles that mix traditional designs with new trends. For example, she wore a floral sari by designer Torani at a musical event in Mumbai. That look, called the Dil Nawaz Mahasti, featured beautiful flowers and was paired with chandbali earrings and a flower bun.

More recently, she wore a stunning purple sari from Punita Balana’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection at the premiere of her film Kesari Chapter 2. That sari had beautiful mirror and marodi (a type of embroidery) work along the border. Ananya completed that look with vintage earrings from Jay Sagar.

Tips to Recreate Her Look

If you want to dress like Ananya, here’s what Vogue India’s Associate Fashion Editor Divya Balakrishnan suggests:

Start with a soft, dull-colored sari—like off-white, light mauve, or eggshell. Choose a fabric like chiffon or silk georgette that drapes well and looks airy. Pair it with a blouse that has soft metallic touches in gold or silver, but nothing too flashy. Add a statement accessory, such as a pearl choker, to bring in elegance. Finally, a trendy crescent-shaped handbag (also called a “chand bag”) ties the look together.

The key is to keep everything simple and balanced, letting just one or two pieces stand out.
