Ajay Devgn is all set to return as the bold and fun-loving Sardaar in the sequel to his 2012 action-comedy hit Son of Sardaar. New Cast, New Storyline
Son of Sardaar 2 is being directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. This time, the film stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The first film featured Sonakshi Sinha opposite Ajay. Reports suggest that this sequel won’t pick up where the original left off. Instead, it will introduce a fresh story with new characters and twists.
Casting Changes and Controversies
The movie has faced a few hurdles during its production. Actor Vijay Raaz was reportedly dropped from the cast due to unprofessional behavior, according to a report by media.
There was also news about Sanjay Dutt being originally cast for the role of Jassi, opposite Ajay’s character Billu. However, due to visa issues, Sanjay Dutt had to step away from the project. Ravi Kishan has now replaced him in the film.

Ajay Devgn has a packed schedule this year. Alongside Son of Sardaar 2, he is also promoting another film titled Maa. He co-produced this emotional drama, which stars Kajol in the lead role. The movie, directed by Vishal Furia, tells the story of a fearless mother who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her daughter from dark forces. Maa is set to release in theatres on June 27.
