Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is currently busy with work, but his heart is clearly back home. On Saturday, he shared an adorable post on Instagram featuring his little daughter Lara and his pet dog Joey — and fans just can’t stop gushing over the sweet family moment.
Feeling Homesick, Varun Posts Heartwarming Pictures
Varun Dhawan admitted that he’s missing home and his “babies” while working away. His post included a couple of cozy, heart-melting photos. In one of them, Varun is seen lying shirtless on the floor, relaxing at home with his daughter and his furry friend. His daughter Lara, dressed in a cute pink outfit, sits nearby on colorful play mats. While her face is covered with a heart emoji for privacy, the love in the photo shines through.
In another picture, Varun is holding Joey while walking in the rain, showing just how much he loves his pet. “My raja babu #joey #missmybabies,” he captioned the post.

Varun Dhawan married his long-time girlfriend Natasha Dalal in 2021. The couple welcomed their daughter Lara in June 2024. Until October 2024, they kept her name private, finally revealing it during Varun’s appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati, where he shared the moment with Amitabh Bachchan.
In a recent interview, Varun opened up about how life has changed since becoming a father. “Being a dad, especially to a daughter, really changes you. It made me look at things differently,” he said. He also talked about how watching his wife Natasha care for Lara reminded him of everything his own mother did for him. “It’s been a crazy and beautiful journey,” he added.
Varun Dhawan’s Upcoming Projects
Even with his hands full at home, Varun has been active on the work front. In 2024, he made special appearances in the movies Stree 2 and Munjya, continuing his role as the werewolf from Bhediya. He also starred in Baby John, the Hindi version of Atlee’s Tamil film Theri. Though the film didn’t perform well, Varun has more projects lined up.
Fans can look forward to seeing him next in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, both expected to release this year. He’s also set to appear in Border 2, which is planned for release in 2026.
