Fondly remembered as Bollywood’s original He-Man, Dharmendra’s departure has left an emotional void that fans and celebrities alike are struggling to come to terms with. Among the many heartfelt tributes shared online, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha posted an especially moving message honouring his dear friend.

Taking to X, Sinha shared rare, nostalgic photographs of himself with Dharmendra — including film stills, award show moments, and unseen candid snapshots. Along with the images, he expressed profound grief over losing someone he described as family.

“Heartbroken, pained & deeply saddened by the passing away of our dearest family friend, our elder brother, people’s hero, @aapkadharm,” he wrote.
He went on to call Dharmendra “the pride of Punjab and Maharashtra, a true Bharat Ratna at heart — humble, kind, and deeply loved.”

Sinha emphasized that the superstar’s legacy will live on forever because of his immense contribution to Indian cinema and his unforgettable connection with audiences.

“An Era Has Ended” — Sinha’s Emotional Words

Continuing his tribute, Sinha wrote:
“An era of the true He-Man and superstar has gone. My first hero and the people’s hero is no more. This is an irreparable and irreplaceable loss for all of us.”

He concluded his message by offering strength to Dharmendra’s family, friends, and millions of admirers, ending with a heartfelt “Om Shanti.”

Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha shared a close relationship both on and off screen. The duo worked together in several films over the decades, including Aag Hi Aag, Zalzala, Hum Se Na Takrana, Blackmail, and Laha. Their camaraderie extended far beyond film sets.

Sinha revealed that he had met Dharmendra just days before his passing.

“He was smiling when my wife and I visited him. Even in illness, he looked radiant. We truly believed he would recover… perhaps we simply didn’t want to face the thought of losing him,” he said in a statement.

The iconic actor had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to health complications. Although he was discharged, reports indicated that he required ventilator support after experiencing breathing difficulties. Despite temporary signs of stability, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, leaving behind a rich cinematic legacy.

His Final On-Screen Appearance

Dharmendra’s last film appearance will be in Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, which is set for release on December 25. The film will now carry an even deeper emotional significance for his fans, marking the final chapter of an extraordinary career spanning over six decades.
