According to a report by Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor is reportedly being paid a massive ₹45 crore for Farzi 2, making it the highest remuneration of his career so far. The report suggests that while the actor typically charges between ₹25–30 crore per film, his fee structure for digital projects is significantly different, especially given the massive success of Farzi Season 1.
The same report adds that Farzi 2 is expected to go on floors by the end of 2025.
Raj & DK Gearing Up for the Sequel
Creators Raj & DK, who helmed the first season, are currently occupied with their upcoming project Rakt Brahmand. Once that wraps up, the duo is expected to dive into the pre-production of Farzi 2. The black comedy crime thriller, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February, became one of the most talked-about Indian web series of the year.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor, the first season featured a strong ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, and Bhuvan Arora, all of whom received praise for their performances.
