According to reports, filming commenced in Mumbai on Monday, February 23, with the first shooting schedule expected to span nearly a month. Ajay Devgn is slated to join the sets from February 25. While details about Priyamani’s character remain tightly under wraps, she has reportedly already begun shooting her portions.
Core Cast Returns For Fifth Instalment
The Golmaal franchise continues to be one of Hindi cinema’s most commercially successful comedy series, celebrated for its ensemble-driven storytelling and recurring characters.
Golmaal 5 will see the return of its core cast, including:
- Ajay Devgn
- Arshad Warsi
- Tusshar Kapoor
- Kunal Kemmu
- Shreyas Talpade
Veteran performers Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Ashwini Kalsekar are also expected to reprise their popular roles, ensuring continuity in the franchise’s signature humour.
There have been speculative reports about Akshay Kumar potentially joining the cast, though the makers have not officially confirmed this development.

Production Amid Security Concerns
The film’s shoot gains momentum weeks after a concerning incident at Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, where five rounds of bullets were reportedly fired. The Mumbai Crime Branch investigation indicated that the vehicle used in the incident was sourced from Pune.
Officials stated that the accused allegedly intended to create panic, and investigations revealed that ₹40,000 was transferred to one of the arrested individuals who was reportedly in contact with the prime accused through a messaging application. Authorities continue to probe the matter.
What To Expect From Golmaal 5
While plot details remain undisclosed, expectations are high for the fifth chapter of the franchise. Known for slapstick humour, comic misunderstandings, and over-the-top ensemble chaos, Golmaal 5 is expected to retain the series’ trademark energy while potentially introducing fresh narrative elements with Priyamani’s inclusion.
