Bigg Boss 20 is set to have a change of host for its upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode, with Rohit Shetty stepping in for Salman Khan. Salman announced his absence during the October 18 episode, explaining that a prior professional commitment would keep him away from the reality show next weekend.
The hosting change has sparked discussion among viewers, particularly those eager to see how Rohit handles the ongoing disagreements inside the house. Some fans have specifically asked the filmmaker to question Mahhi Vij about her conduct and interactions with fellow contestants.
Why Is Salman Khan Missing the Next Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar?
Salman Khan informed the contestants and viewers during Sunday’s episode that he would not host the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar. He cited a prior work commitment but did not provide further details during the announcement.
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is set to take over hosting duties for the upcoming episode. His arrival has raised expectations among viewers who want the weekend episode to address the housemates’ recent disagreements and controversial moments.
The temporary change does not indicate that Salman is leaving Bigg Boss 20 permanently. The announcement concerns his absence from the upcoming episode, with Rohit stepping in during his schedule conflict.
Bigg Boss 20: Why Are Fans Asking Rohit Shetty to ‘Bash Mahhi Vij’?
Reactions to the hosting announcement have centred partly on Mahhi Vij, with some viewers hoping Rohit will challenge her over the house dynamics. Comments shared on X reflect differing expectations about how the filmmaker might approach the contestants.
One user wrote, “Salman will never take Mahi’s class, so makers had to bring in Rohit Shetty for that.”
Another viewer suggested that Rohit should offer Qazi Touqeer clearer feedback, writing, “If Rohit Shetty is coming next WKV. We should ask him to tell Qazi those which will improve his game and give him clarity, instead of blind praising.”
A third post speculated about Mahhi’s relationship with Salman, while another directly requested, “Rohit sir, bash Mahhi ji.”
These posts represent individual audience reactions, not confirmed plans for the episode. Whether Rohit addresses Mahhi, Qazi or other contestants in the way viewers expect will become clear when the episode airs.
What Can Viewers Expect From Rohit Shetty as Host?
Rohit Shetty is known for directing action entertainers, including the Singham and Simmba films, and for hosting the stunt-based reality series Khatron Ke Khiladi. His television experience makes him a familiar face to reality-show audiences, although his approach to Weekend Ka Vaar remains to be seen.
Fans are particularly interested in whether he will directly question contestants about their behaviour, revisit unresolved arguments or offer advice on how they can improve their game. The change also gives the upcoming episode a different dynamic from Salman’s usual interactions with the housemates.
For now, the makers have not confirmed which individual disputes will be addressed. Viewers’ demands on social media should therefore be treated as reactions to the announcement rather than a preview of the episode’s content.
What Is Salman Khan Working on Next?
Alongside his television commitments, Salman is working on Monster, his upcoming action film directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara. The project is scheduled for an Eid 2027 theatrical release, according to the announced release plan.
The actor’s absence from the upcoming Bigg Boss 20 episode has been attributed to a prior professional commitment. No further details were provided during the on-air announcement, so the specific reason should not be assumed beyond what has been reported.
With Rohit Shetty taking over hosting duties, the next Weekend Ka Vaar episode will be closely watched by fans curious to see how he handles the contestants and whether he responds to the issues viewers have raised online.
