Aditya Narayan and his father, legendary singer Udit Narayan, were all set to enthral their fans with their first-ever live concert in Delhi on July 23. However, due to the prevailing floods and waterlogging in the national capital, the much-anticipated event has been postponed to September to ensure the safety of the audience.
The concert was to be held at a venue close to the Yamuna River. Unfortunately, the waterlogging and flood-like situation caused by heavy rains compelled them to prioritize the safety of their fans and take the difficult decision to push the event to a later date.
Aditya Narayan expressed his disappointment about the postponement, as it was a special occasion for the father-son duo to perform together in the heart of the country. He emphasized that the safety and enjoyment of the audience were of utmost importance to him. Aditya stressed that he wanted the concertgoers to have a memorable experience and not leave disappointed after investing their hard-earned money in purchasing tickets.

Delhi has been grappling with waterlogging and flooding issues for over a week. On July 8 and 9, heavy downpours resulted in intense waterlogging, with the city receiving 125 percent of its monthly rainfall quota in just two days. The situation worsened as the Yamuna River’s water level breached the danger mark again on July 19, less than 12 hours after dropping below the threshold.
Given the ongoing challenges posed by the floods, Aditya and Udit Narayan made a responsible and thoughtful decision to reschedule their concert. By moving the event to September, they aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for their audience.
