Many of us were mesmerized by the deep voice’s rendition of “Tanha Dil Tanha Safar” due to its profound and lovely lyrics. And that voice no longer requires an introduction. He is none other than the well-known Bollywood playback singer Shantanu Mukherjee, best known as Shaan.
A gift from ancestors
Music is something Shaan’s ancestors passed down to him. He is genetically predisposed to music. His late father, Manas Mukherjee, was a music director, and his sister Sagarika is also a singer and actor. His grandfather, Jahar Mukherjee, was a well-known lyricist.
Debut at 17 years old
Tanha Dil, Chaand Sifarish, and other hits are among the many that Shaan has in his discography. He had to confront multiple challenges in his life before becoming successful. Commencing with his first song, Shaan debuted as a playback vocalist for the movie Parinda. He accompanied his younger sister in singing one line of the song “Kitni Hai Pyari Pyari.” Shaan was just 17 years old at the time.
Despite being a tremendous accomplishment for Shaan, it was insufficient for him to gain attention as a singer. He began singing jingles for commercials. After some time, he began singing cover versions and remixes.Later, Shaan and his sister joined Magnasound and recorded a number of hit albums, including Naujawan and Q-Funk.
Huge number of Hits & accolades
