Two major releases — 120 Bahadur and Mastiii 4 — have wrapped up their first week at the domestic box office on a disappointing note. Despite star power and franchise value, both films failed to draw audiences, ending the week with a combined total of just ₹24.25 crore nett.

120 Bahadur: A Major Underperformer With Just ₹13.45 Crore in Week 1

Farhan Akhtar’s military drama 120 Bahadur, directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, has turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of recent months. The film is headed towards a weak first Thursday collection of ₹85 lakh, marking its lowest day so far and registering a 20% drop from Wednesday.

With this, 120 Bahadur has closed its opening week at a modest ₹13.45 crore nett, far below expectations for a big-scale action drama.

Tougher Days Ahead

With the new release Tere Ishk Mein arriving on Friday — featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon — 120 Bahadur is expected to lose a significant number of screens. The film’s theatrical run is now projected to wrap up in the range of ₹15–17 crore nett, signaling a commercial defeat.

Mastiii 4: Franchise Film Falls Flat With ₹10.80 Crore Week

Despite being the fourth film in a well-known adult comedy franchise, Mastiii 4, starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, failed to create any buzz. The film struggled throughout the week and managed to cross the ₹10 crore mark purely due to weekend footfalls.

It earned an estimated ₹60 lakh on Day 7 (Thursday), bringing its week-one total to ₹10.80 crore nett.

A Disastrous Run for a Franchise

Given its weak occupancy trends and poor audience reception, the Milan Milap Zaveri directorial is likely to end its theatrical journey around ₹12–13 crore nett — a disappointing figure for a brand associated with earlier successes.

Combined Total: A Poor Start at the Box Office

Together, 120 Bahadur and Mastiii 4 have collected only ₹24.25 crore nett in their opening week — a significantly underwhelming figure considering the cast, genre expectations, and franchise backing involved.

With stronger new releases entering cinemas, both films are expected to fade out quickly from the box office race.
