Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence’s Chandramukhi 2 got a hearty welcome from the audience soon after its release on September 28. This Tamil horror comedy written and directed by P.Vasu is a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster film Chandramukhi starring Rajnikanth and Jyothika.
Reportedly, Raghava Lawrence took the veteran actor Rajnikanth’s blessings ahead of the release of Chandramukhi 2.
The story of Chandramukhi 2 begins with a wealthy family facing unexpected troubles and reuniting with some long-lost relatives to pray to their deity for solutions. But they are completely unaware that it will reawaken the centuries-old feud between the spirits of the dancer Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja. As Chandramukhi’s spirit captures a family member, the dangerous game begins.
Now the family has to defeat the spirit or they will have to perish. Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence are in the lead roles in this movie. The other actors in pivotal roles include Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srusthi Dange, Subiksha, and others.
A terrific dance number Swagathanjali by Kangana and Moruniye by Raghava Lawrence are added attractions in this movie. X (formerly Twitter) is getting flooded with reviews praising Kangana’s performance in the movie. Produced by Lyca Productions the film got released in multiple languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film is said to have a good mix of music, dance, ghosts, and historical war sequences. Whether or not the magic of the original Chandramukhi has been recreated in this sequel is a question the answer you have to find out by watching the movie. But Chandramukhi 2 definitely holds promise with a star-studded cast and a solid storyline.
Incidentally, the National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut known for playing unconventional roles in movies has bagged several awards and accolades in her 18-year-long acting career. She has received four National Awards, and five Filmfare Awards, and has been featured in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list six times. She is receiving great reviews already for her performance in her new release. Chandramukhi 2 is running in theaters now.
