Popular comedian-actor Kapil Sharma dons yet another artistic feather on his cap with his latest venture into the music industry with Guru Randhawa. Kapil and Randhawa are set to release the song ‘Alone’ on February 9. This music video marks the first collaboration between the two.
Prior to this, Kapil’s singing talents were showcased primarily in The Kapil Sharma Show where his hard work and dedication along with his skills clearly shine forth.
The T-series song Alone has been shot in Manali and is directed by Director Gifty. The song features Yogita Bihani as the female lead in the song and is centered around the heartbreak. This music video marks a long journey from being a backup singer participating in reality shows where he received appreciation by the legendary Lata Mangeshkar to hosting his own comedy show and now using his well-known singing skills. Taking to Instagram on Sunday evening, Kapil shared a post with singer Guru Randhawa announcing their collaboration. The post also shared a teaser for the song with both Guru and Kapil clad in winter outfits and donning black shades.
In news of other ventures, Kapil is set to star in the upcoming movie, Zwigato, debuting on screen on March 17th. Directed by Nandita Das, the film explores the gig economy through the journey of a food delivery person in Bhubaneshwar. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives, the movie also stars actor Shahana Goswami as a homemaker, who decides to support her husband’s (Kapil) income by taking up a job for the very first time.
