The trailer for Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, is finally out. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, this film marks Dhanush’s first Telugu film and is Sekhar’s second Tamil project after Anaamika. The movie is set to release on June 20 and already has fans excited.

Kuberaa: A Powerful Story Unfolds

In the trailer, Dhanush plays a beggar who questions the value of money. His character seems poor but thoughtful, asking deep questions about society and wealth. On the other hand, Nagarjuna’s character believes that money and power are what truly matters in this country—not justice or honesty. His role seems complex, as he supports Dhanush, but also appears to have a darker side.

Rashmika Mandanna plays a character who Dhanush believes in, even though she seems unsure of herself. She shares a cynical view, believing that the rich and powerful will always rule. One character in the trailer even asks how a beggar could possibly shake an entire government. The trailer ends on a strong note, with Dhanush boldly challenging the current system.

Pre-Release Event Postponed After Plane Crash

The film’s team had planned a pre-release event for June 13 in Hyderabad. However, the event was postponed after the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Out of respect for the victims, the team released a heartfelt message. They said, “We stand in solidarity with the grieving families,” and added, “Our hearts go out to all affected by the devastating plane crash. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.”

The event was later held on Sunday, with director SS Rajamouli attending as the chief guest. His presence added even more buzz around the movie.

Behind the Scenes: Dhanush Gets Real

Dhanush shared a personal story during the film’s song launch event for Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum. He talked about shooting in a dump yard for hours, something most actors rarely experience. He said it opened his eyes to a different side of life that many people don’t get to see.

“I come from very humble beginnings,” Dhanush said. “Shooting this film reminded me of my childhood. I’ve come a long way by God’s grace, but going back to that world was very emotional. It made me feel thankful and gave me a fresh perspective.”
