In a recent interview with Vogue magazine Gwyneth Paltrow was quite candid and shared some fun moments. During the “73 Questions” round, Paltrow gave a tour of her garden while she answered the questions. The interviewer suddenly noticed an Oscar was propping the garden gate. Joe Sabia, the interviewer remarked, “And what a beautiful Academy Award!”
“My doorstep. It works perfectly!” the Academy Award-winning actress replied jokingly.
The 51-year-old Hollywood actress has received several accolades including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award.
In the interview with Vogue, the actress opened up about why she doesn’t display the Oscar award nicely along with her other trophies. “For weeks after I won I kept it in storage… I won’t even put it on the mantelpiece, the thing freaks me out. For some reason, I haven’t been able to feel really good about it. I just feel sort of embarrassed and it brings up weird, traumatic feelings. It’s associated with a tough time in my life.”
The actress has been candidly talking about Dakota Johnson in another interview. Dakota is the girlfriend of Gwyneth’s ex-husband Chris Martin. Gwyneth has openly complimented the Fifty Shades of Grey actress and shared that they are good friends. “I love her so much. She’s an adorable, wonderful person.” Gwyneth told about Dakota. The Goop founder tied the knot with Chris in 2003 and they mutually separated in 2016. They have two children together – Apple, 19, and Moses, 17.
Dakota and Chris started dating in 2017. Gwyneth remarried in 2018, this time to Screenwriter and Director, Brad Falchuk.
In a 2020 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gwyneth agreed that people might find it strange to appreciate one’s ex-husband’s partner but she truly likes Dakota and considers her a friend. “I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her,” she said.
Earlier Paltrow has admitted that she and her ex-husband had put in “all the hard work at the beginning” right after the separation and that’s why they have not ended the relationship on a bitter note.
The ace actress also explained, “I was intrigued, less by the phrase, but by the sentiment. Was there a world where we could break up and not lose everything? Could we be a family, even though we were not a couple? We decided to try.”
