Holi is here and is such a medley of memorable images- coloured faces, thandai, a variety of Indian sweets, and Bollywood music. We all honour the eternal happiness of spring and the holy love of Radha and Lord Krishna. And, music makes it even more fun. Hindi films frequently celebrate the festival of colours, and several of them have given us memorable songs over the years. People still dance to songs like Lets Play Holi, Balam Pichkari, Holi Khele Raghuveera, Rang Barse Bheege Chunarwali, and many others.
For this season of colours, singer Shaan has sparked this year’s celebrations with more joy with his new Holi party anthem “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai,” with vibrant energy, party mode, and peppy mood. Composed by Shaan and Bhoomi Trivedi with lyrics by Rajiv Rana, the track features Utkarsh Gupta and Sonal Singh.
Adding liveliness to the the whole atmosphere and bringing the Holi celebrations to a new level with a desi twist is Nakash Aziz’s upbeat song “Rangreza,” Ipsita Bhattacharjee and Aadil Khan appear in the funky music video, produced by Afsana Kherani and directed by Shone Cameron. Yellow Strings Entertainment’s upbeat song is popular on YouTube right now because of the Holi sentiments it conveys- the wild energy to dance and immerse in a euphoria is an essential part of this year’s Holi playlist.
Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show wishes you a very Happy Holi, may the colours of love and joy adorn your days in the weeks and months to come.
