The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) successfully hosted an engaging and educational 3D Printing Workshop on April 11, 2026, bringing together students, families, and community members for an immersive introduction to cutting-edge technology. The initiative highlighted IAGB’s continued commitment to fostering STEM education, youth engagement, and meaningful community enrichment across the Greater Boston region.

Interactive Learning Meets Innovation

Designed to be both educational and inspiring, the workshop featured hands-on sessions where participants explored the fundamentals of 3D design, modeling, and printing. Students worked closely with experienced instructors, gaining practical exposure to real-world applications of 3D printing technology.

One of the most exciting aspects of the event was the opportunity for participants to create their own take-home 3D-printed objects. This interactive approach not only sparked curiosity but also helped build confidence among young learners, encouraging them to explore future opportunities in technology-driven fields.

Strong Community Support and Leadership

The event was further elevated by the presence of Guest of Honor, Sandeep Asija of Asija Properties. His participation underscored the importance of community partnerships in expanding access to educational initiatives.

“Workshops like this empower our next generation to think creatively and embrace innovation,” he shared, emphasizing the long-term value of such programs.

Dedicated Team Behind the Success

The workshop was led by Prashant Kulkarni, IAGB’s Workshop Lead, along with a committed team of volunteers including Deepak Garg, Lima Das, Shital Bhammar, Manish Bhowmick, and Vijay Ejenkar. Their coordinated efforts ensured a seamless and impactful experience for all attendees.

IAGB also extended its gratitude to Gautam and Rachana Shah for generously providing the venue, and to Dev Patil of The Treasury, Burlington, for supporting the event with refreshments.

Strengthening Community Through Education

IAGB President Nilesh Agrawal reiterated the organization’s mission to create meaningful opportunities that bring the community together.

“Our goal is to connect families through programs that inspire, educate, and strengthen community bonds. This workshop reflects IAGB’s commitment to empowering youth and fostering a culture of innovation,” he said.

Capturing Moments of Inspiration

The vibrant energy and enthusiasm of the day were beautifully captured by photographer Jeevan Sarode. Images from the workshop will be shared with media outlets and the wider community, showcasing the impact and excitement of the event.

A Legacy of Community Excellence

Founded in 1962, IAGB stands as one of the oldest and largest Indian-American organizations in New England. The association continues to play a vital role in the community by hosting a diverse range of cultural, educational, and civic programs throughout the year. Its flagship events include India Day, the Senior Expo, the Discover India Series, and Republic Day celebrations.

Shaping the Future Through Innovation

With initiatives like the 3D Printing Workshop, IAGB continues to set a strong example of how community organizations can actively nurture curiosity, creativity, and future-ready skills among youth. By blending education with hands-on experience, the association is not only empowering the next generation but also strengthening the foundation of a more innovative and connected community. As technology continues to evolve, such efforts ensure that young minds are prepared to lead, create, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
