Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla is very much on track. Amid speculation that the fantasy entertainer might face delays, fresh reports confirm that the film has not been postponed and is progressing as scheduled. The actor is currently shooting in Mumbai, with the final leg planned in Delhi, after which the film will wrap up by February end.

Naagzilla Shoot Update

According to reports, Kartik Aaryan and the Naagzilla team are gearing up for the film’s final shooting schedule. After completing the ongoing Mumbai shoot, the crew will move to Delhi for the last leg, which is expected to continue for nearly a month.

An industry source revealed that once the Delhi schedule concludes, the principal photography will be completed, with March reserved for patchwork.

Kartik Aaryan as an Ichadaari Naag

In Naagzilla, Kartik Aaryan essays the quirky and mythical role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag. The character promises a blend of fantasy, folklore, and humour — a space rarely explored in mainstream Hindi cinema at this scale.

The actor’s first look from the film, released in April 2025, instantly grabbed attention for its playful tone and visual spectacle.

VFX Work Begins Alongside Shoot

Given that Naagzilla is a VFX-heavy film, the makers have reportedly begun working on the visual effects simultaneously with the shoot.

The insider added that the team is focused on delivering a polished and immersive cinematic experience, ensuring that the film meets its ambitious scale before release.

First Look and Release Date

Sharing the motion poster earlier, Karan Johar had introduced Kartik’s character with a witty caption, confirming that Naagzilla will arrive in cinemas on August 14, 2026, coinciding with Naag Panchami.

The film’s release date remains unchanged.

Cast, Makers & What to Expect

While no official announcement has been made, reports suggest that Ravi Kishan may join the cast as the antagonist.

Produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, Naagzilla is expected to be a one-of-a-kind entertainer that blends fantasy, Indian folklore, and mass appeal.
