About The Event
Hansa, a traditional housewife with old-school values and an unapologetic personality, constantly finds herself at odds with her family and society. Eight months after moving from a humble chawl to an upscale residential society in Juhu, Hansa refuses to change who she is. She holds firmly onto her beliefs, her lifestyle, and her outspoken nature — whether it’s standing up to society members over cultural values or confronting an overly strict watchman.
Her husband Aatish and their two children grow increasingly embarrassed by her behavior. In their attempt to make her “fit in,” they repeatedly ridicule and humiliate her, creating growing emotional distance within the family.
The tension reaches its breaking point on the night of Navratri, Hansa’s favorite festival. While the entire society buzzes with Garba celebrations, her own family commits the unthinkable — they lock her inside the house and leave without her.
Devastated and heartbroken, Hansa finds herself completely alone. Yet, in that solitude, something extraordinary happens.
