But before this, Sonu believed that his four-letter name could keep him from becoming a superstar when he first began his journey in the entertainment world.
He asserts, “There was a time when I considered changing my name from Sonu Sood to anything different because people believed that you couldn’t be an actor if your name was Sonu. Something fashionable like Aryan or Aryaman ought to be used. One day, I considered changing it, but I concluded that Sonu had brought me to this point, so I should stick with it. And today, people use my name as the name of their enterprises, their children, which is quite touching and encourages you to think that wishes come true. The wishes from my friends, family, and parents, to whom I vowed to live up to their expectations, and I arrived in Mumbai full of aspirations. Even though they are not present with me today, they must be smiling and thinking that Sonu has accomplished something important and made us proud as they sit in heaven. Therefore, with miles to go and the voyage continuing, that is what I am attempting to achieve.”
