The Family Man is known for crafting antagonists who are as compelling as its protagonist, Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee). In Season 3, that legacy continues with the introduction of two powerhouse performers — Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur. While Ahlawat brings a menacing gravitas, it is Nimrat’s chilling, poised, and sharply intelligent villainous avatar that has caught viewers by surprise.
Her character isn’t loud, brutal, or chaotic. Instead, she embodies a cold, calculated command — the kind of quiet dominance rarely written for female antagonists in Indian thrillers. With piercing confidence and tactical brilliance, Nimrat’s character reshapes the power dynamics of the show.
“It Was Empowering… But Also Intimidating” — Nimrat on stepping into the role
For Nimrat Kaur, this role was both thrilling and challenging.
“I think it’s fascinating that the writer’s room is all men,” she shared. “We are meeting a woman in a man’s world who’s running a show like a man and is written by men. It is so empowering to take that position and then fly with it.”
Yet stepping into such a dominant persona brought an internal conflict she didn’t expect.
“There were many moments when I thought — it would be so cool to be this self-assured in real life, especially in situations where I would actually just hide under a quilt,” she laughed.
A Character More Fearless Than the Actor Who Plays Her
Nimrat admits that the character’s decisiveness and cold precision are far from who she is off-screen.
“What I’m trying to sell as an idea on screen… I don’t know if I could ever pull that off in real life,” she confessed. “And that’s the freedom of being an actor — you get to live lives that your own conditioning or upbringing may never allow.”

Her honesty has resonated strongly with fans, who love the layered fragility behind her fierce exterior.
The Family Man 3: Bigger Stakes, Sharper Characters
Directed by Raj & DK, the new season blends trademark humor with geo-political tension — this time with a storyline set in the North-East. Beloved characters including Sharib Hashmi (JK) and Priyamani (Suchitra) return, while Srikant Tiwari faces one of the most dangerous threats of his career.
Jaideep Ahlawat’s Rukma and Nimrat Kaur’s formidable antagonist deliver a fresh narrative axis, pushing Srikant to emotional and moral breaking points. The show’s scale is grander, and its psychological tension is deeper than ever before.
Streaming worldwide on Prime Video, The Family Man 3 has quickly become more than a thriller — it is a cultural conversation starter, redefining what Indian streaming content can be.
Jay-Ho Updates
Nimrat Kaur’s portrayal in The Family Man 3 is not just a performance — it’s a statement. By embracing a character far bolder than her real-life persona, she proves how transformative acting can be. As Season 3 unfolds, her role stands tall as one of the most memorable and powerful additions to the franchise.
