Thammudu Twitter Reviews: Mixed Reactions for Nithiin’s Latest Film

52 0

Nithiin’s new movie Thammudu, directed by Sriram Venu, hit theatres this Friday. While some fans were hopeful, many viewers on social media expressed disappointment, calling it a big letdown. The film shares its title with Pawan Kalyan’s 1999 hit, but sadly, it didn’t live up to the expectations.

Disappointed Fans on Social Media

Many fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their frustration. They felt that Thammudu was a poor film with no emotional depth or thrilling action. One user sarcastically wrote, “Thanks to Nithiin for reminding me why I should stop watching his movies on release day. It had no proper emotional drama or action as promised.”

Another user criticized the outdated story, saying, “This script feels like it’s from 2005. Please try something more modern. Scenes were slow and predictable, even though actors did a decent job.”

Some compared Thammudu to the Tamil hit Kaithi, saying the makers tried to do something similar but failed badly. One fan commented, “They took a plot that could have been exciting, like Kaithi, but ruined it with unnecessary songs, comedy, and flashbacks.”

Criticism for Direction and Storyline

A common complaint was about the film’s poor pacing and weak storytelling. One viewer said, “The film tests your patience from start to finish. The brotherhood emotion was poorly handled, and the villain, though slightly different, didn’t leave an impact.”

The same person also felt that the conflict in the story was silly, and even called the movie “outright bad,” giving it a rating of 1.75 out of 5.

Not Everyone Hated It

Despite the harsh comments, not all reviews were negative. A few users thought the film was decent and not as bad as others claimed. One viewer posted, “It’s not terrible. It could have been better, but it’s a watchable brother-sister drama. Reviews seem too harsh for no reason.”

Another user enjoyed the first half and loved the fight scenes in the second half. “Full meals for action lovers,” the tweet said, calling it a one-time watch in theatres.

Praise for Nithiin’s Performance

While the film received mixed responses, Nithiin’s acting got appreciation from some fans. One review read, “Thammudu is a good emotional ride with strong production quality. Nithiin delivered one of his best performances. It’s a nice comeback for him.”

The fan also praised the direction, music, and supporting cast, including Laya, Sapthami Gowda, and Varsha Bollamma.
