In what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting casting updates of the season, Nora Fatehi has reportedly joined the cast of Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated sequel, Jailer 2. According to sources close to the production, the actress-dancer is set to feature in a major song sequence that promises to be a visual and musical highlight of the film.

A Big-Budget Song With Massive Scale

Insiders reveal that Nora Fatehi is currently in Chennai, shooting an outdoor, high-energy dance number that is being described as an upbeat, South-style track designed for mass appeal. The song, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, is said to blend pulsating beats with grand choreography and lavish production values.

“Nora is shooting for eight days alongside Rajinikanth, which says everything about the scale and importance of this track,” a source shared. The song is expected to be unveiled sometime in 2026, with the makers keeping further details tightly under wraps.

Nora Fatehi’s Winning Streak Continues

The development comes on the back of Nora Fatehi’s remarkable run over the past year. From viral international collaborations to chart-topping Bollywood dance numbers, she has cemented her status as a global pop-culture phenomenon. Industry insiders believe her Jailer 2 appearance could add another blockbuster song to her already impressive repertoire, especially given the massive reach of Rajinikanth’s films.

About Jailer 2

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 will see Rajinikanth reprise his iconic role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, this time facing even bigger threats and higher stakes. Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa return in their roles from the first film, while new additions to the cast include S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anna Rajan.

The sequel also ups the star power with the return of Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal in cameo appearances, along with extended special appearances by Nandamuri Balakrishna and Mithun Chakraborty. Music is once again composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose background score was one of the standout elements of the original Jailer.

Rajinikanth On The Film’s Progress

Earlier, Rajinikanth spoke about the status of the sequel and its production schedule. “I am currently travelling for the Jailer 2 shoot. I am heading towards Kerala for a filming schedule, and it will consist of six days of shooting. I think the film will be completed by June next year, so the release will be after that,” the superstar said.

With Nora Fatehi’s high-voltage dance number now in the mix, Jailer 2 appears poised to raise the bar even higher, blending star power, music, and spectacle into what could be one of the biggest cinematic events of the coming year.
