Prabhas’ big-budget entertainer The Raja Saab has locked its OTT destination, and the digital deal is already creating buzz in industry circles. After its theatrical run, the film will stream on Jio Hotstar, following a high-value agreement that secures all major language versions of the movie.

Jio Hotstar Bags Digital Rights for Rs 80 Crore

According to a report shared by Chitrambhalare on X, Jio Hotstar has acquired the digital streaming rights of The Raja Saab for a massive Rs 80 crore. The deal covers the film’s Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi versions, ensuring a wide pan-India digital reach.

What makes the agreement even more interesting is its performance-linked clause. Industry sources suggest that the platform will reportedly pay an additional Rs 10 crore for every Rs 100 crore the film earns at the box office after crossing Rs 200 crore worldwide gross.

OTT Deal Offers Relief Amid High Budget Concerns

The OTT agreement comes as a major relief for the makers, especially considering The Raja Saab was reportedly mounted on a budget exceeding Rs 400 crore. While the film opened on a strong note and performed well in its initial days, its box office momentum slowed significantly afterward.

So far, the film has collected over Rs 250 crore worldwide, but profitability remains a challenge due to the massive production cost. The lucrative digital deal helps offset some of the financial pressure and strengthens the film’s post-theatrical revenue stream.

When Will The Raja Saab Stream on OTT?

While the exact OTT release date has not been officially announced yet, trade analysts expect The Raja Saab to premiere on Jio Hotstar after the standard theatrical window, likely within 6–8 weeks of its cinema release. An official confirmation from the makers or the platform is awaited.

Star-Studded Cast and Technical Crew

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features Prabhas in the lead role as Raju and boasts an extensive ensemble cast. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Zarina Wahab, Riddhi Kumar, Samuthirakani, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles.

The supporting cast includes popular names like Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Satya, Prabhas Sreenu, and Saptagiri, adding comic relief and mass appeal.

Music and background score are composed by Thaman S, while Karthik Palani handles cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao takes charge of editing.

Jay-Ho Scoop

Despite mixed box office trends, The Raja Saab continues to attract attention due to its scale, star power, and now its high-profile OTT deal. With Jio Hotstar securing digital rights across multiple languages, the film is expected to find a wider audience online and enjoy a strong second life on streaming.
