Salman Khan fans have a big reason to celebrate — Dabangg 4 is officially on the way. Producer-actor Arbaaz Khan has confirmed that the fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise is currently in development. Ever since the release of Dabangg 3 in 2019, audiences have been eagerly waiting for news about the return of the iconic Chulbul Pandey. Now, Arbaaz’s confirmation has reignited excitement among fans.
In a recent interaction with Zoom, Arbaaz shared that while the film is definitely happening, the team is in no rush to finalize the timeline.
“It’s something that is in the pipeline, but I don’t know the timeline,” he revealed. Speaking about the constant curiosity surrounding the franchise, he added, “Everybody keeps asking when Dabangg 4 is going to come. So that’s my answer — we’re working on it, there’s no hurry, but it is something Salman and we will discuss and do. It will happen. I don’t know when, but whenever it happens, it’ll be worth it.”
A Franchise That Redefined Bollywood Masala Entertainment
The Dabangg franchise began in 2010 with the Abhinav Kashyap–directed film that went on to become a cultural sensation. Salman Khan’s portrayal of the beloved inspector Chulbul Pandey — fearless, witty, and charismatic — made the character an instant fan favourite. The film also introduced Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo and delivered hit songs, iconic dialogues, and unforgettable action sequences.
The success of Dabangg paved the way for two more films:
- Dabangg 2 (2012) – Directed by Arbaaz Khan
- Dabangg 3 (2019) – Directed by Prabhu Deva

Together, the trilogy cemented Dabangg as one of Bollywood’s strongest mass-entertainment franchises.
What’s Next for Salman Khan?
Apart from returning as Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan is currently hosting the popular reality show Bigg Boss 19. On the acting front, he was last seen in A.R. Murugadoss’ action drama Sikandar.
Up ahead, Salman is gearing up for Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China and will showcase the courage and resilience of the Indian Army. The movie is slated for a 2026 release.
With Dabangg 4 confirmed and several major projects lined up, Salman Khan’s fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming years.
