Shah Rukh Khan On Reuniting With Deepika Padukone
During the interactive session, one of Shah Rukh Khan’s fans expressed their excitement about the reunion and wrote, “So excited to see you and DP together again.” To this, SRK replied with his trademark wit and warmth, “Me too haha.”
His simple yet heartfelt response has delighted fans, who are eagerly waiting to see the iconic on-screen pair together again after hits like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and Jawan (cameo).
Deepika Padukone Begins Shoot For King
In September, Deepika Padukone confirmed that she had begun shooting for King. Sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram, she wrote,
“The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together?”

The post, accompanied by a picture of their hands clasped together, instantly went viral and left fans nostalgic about their cinematic journey over the years.
What We Know About King
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, King is described as a massive action drama with an emotional core. Alongside Shah Rukh and Deepika, the film stars Suhana Khan in a pivotal role, marking her big Bollywood debut after The Archies.
Munjya fame Abhay Verma will also play a key role in the film.
At the Locarno Film Festival, SRK spoke briefly about the project, saying,
“It is an action drama, it’s a Hindi film. It’ll be interesting. I’ve been wanting to do a film like this for some time, for almost seven or eight years. We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice because we wanted it to be emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, massy, action, emotional film.”
Later, at an event in Abu Dhabi, the actor added,
“I will be shooting it for a couple of months. My director Siddharth Anand is very strict. He made Pathaan also. He has asked me not to reveal much, but I can assure you it will be entertaining. You will enjoy it.”
The Reunion Fans Can’t Wait For
With King, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are all set to recreate their magical on-screen chemistry once again — this time in an action-packed, emotionally layered story. The film promises grandeur, high-octane sequences, and the emotional warmth that fans associate with SRK’s cinema.
