Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s famous home, Mannat, is currently undergoing a big renovation. Located in Mumbai, Mannat is not just a house—it’s a landmark for fans. Right now, the Khan family has temporarily moved out while the work is in progress.
Renovation Work in Full Swing
A video that recently surfaced on Instagram shows what’s happening at Mannat. Shared by Instant Bollywood, the clip shows construction workers busy on the top floor. They can be seen tying ropes and getting materials in place. The house looks empty at the moment, which hints at a major transformation happening inside.
This renovation is not a small project. According to reports, it will take about two years to complete. One of the main plans includes adding two more floors to the annexe section of the house. That means Mannat is going to be even bigger and better once the work is done.
Where is the Khan Family Living Now?
While Mannat gets its makeover, Shah Rukh Khan, his wife Gauri Khan, and their kids—Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam—have moved to a new place. And no, it’s not just a regular apartment. They are now staying in two luxurious duplex flats in the Puja Casa building, located at Pali Hill in the Khar area of Mumbai.
Though their new temporary home is smaller than Mannat (about 10,500 sq ft compared to Mannat’s massive 27,000 sq ft), it is still very grand. In fact, the rent for this high-end space is ₹24.15 lakh per month. That adds up to around ₹8.7 crore for a 3-year stay!
SRK’s Work Front: What’s Next?
On the professional side, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in the movie Dunki, which was released in December 2023. It was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featured actors like Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani. The film tells the story of people who, due to money problems, take risky and illegal paths to move abroad in search of a better life. If you missed it in theatres, Dunki is now streaming on Netflix.
Now, fans are excited for SRK’s next film, King. This movie is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and is rumored to star Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan, as well. The buzz around this project is huge, and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store.
