The film is directed and produced by Arnab Chatterjee, who started writing Murderbaad five years ago while still in college. Inspired by the romance and suspense of classic thrillers, he decided to create a story rooted in Indian culture with a strong emotional core.
Arnab shared, “The idea came to me in college, and it stuck. Murderbaad is about the stories people hide to protect their identity. It’s not just about what’s missing — it’s about what people are afraid to reveal. I’m thankful to have had such an amazing cast and crew to bring this vision to life.”
