The much-anticipated Pan-India film Spirit, marking the first-ever collaboration between Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has officially kicked off 2026 with a major reveal. As the clock struck midnight welcoming the New Year, the makers unveiled the first look of the film, instantly sending fans into a frenzy and reinforcing Spirit’s status as one of the most talked-about upcoming projects.

Spirit has been under intense spotlight ever since its announcement, largely due to the powerful combination of Prabhas’ Pan-India stardom and Vanga’s reputation for intense, high-impact storytelling.

A Midnight Reveal That Sparked Frenzy

Ahead of the reveal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga teased fans on social media on December 31, writing:
“People… A few hours more for SPIRIT – First Poster.”

The teaser post quickly went viral, setting the stage for the midnight first-look drop that generated massive online chatter across platforms.

Interestingly, this promotional strategy mirrors the approach Vanga previously used for Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. That midnight tease had created huge anticipation back then, and with Spirit, the director appears to have successfully recreated the excitement—this time on a larger, Pan-India scale.

Casting Buzz Around Spirit

Earlier this year, Spirit also made headlines following a casting change that attracted widespread attention. Deepika Padukone, who was initially associated with the project, exited citing work-hour concerns. The makers later brought Triptii Dimri on board, a move that further fuelled curiosity around the film.

Spirit marks Triptii Dimri’s first collaboration with Prabhas and her second association with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Animal, making her casting particularly noteworthy.

Star Cast & Production Details

Apart from Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, the film also features Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana, among others, adding to its ensemble strength.

Backed by T-Series, Spirit is being mounted on a grand scale, aligning with Vanga’s signature style and Prabhas’ massive fan following across India. The film is expected to deliver a raw, intense and larger-than-life cinematic experience, in keeping with the director’s previous works.

Jay-Ho Scoop

By unveiling Spirit’s first look at the stroke of midnight, the makers have set the tone for what promises to be one of the biggest Pan-India releases in the coming years. With Prabhas’ star power and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s proven ability to generate conversation, Spirit is already shaping up to be a massive event film.
