Neela Mediatech, the digital arm behind the iconic television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), is expanding the franchise into feature-length 3D animated films, marking a significant step in its digital-first growth strategy.

After steadily building its presence over the last three years across gaming, game-based education, and short-form animation, Neela Mediatech has now entered the long-form animation space with two full-length 3D animated movies, both releasing on YouTube.

Two Animated Films, Multiple Languages

The first film, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah 3D Animated Movie: Gokuldham to Galacto, premiered on December 31, while the second title, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah 3D Animated Movie: The Big Fat Alien Wedding, is scheduled for release on January 26.

Both animated features will be available in six languages:

  • Hindi
  • Bengali
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Kannada
  • Malayalam

This multilingual release strategy aims to broaden the franchise’s reach across regions, age groups, and digital-native audiences.

A New Chapter for the TMKOC Franchise

These films mark Neela Mediatech’s official foray into feature-length 3D animation, building on the positive response received by the franchise’s animated rhymes and short-form content online.

With a focus on long-form storytelling, the company is targeting:

  • Sustained digital engagement
  • Repeat viewership
  • Platform-driven growth on YouTube

The move reflects TMKOC’s evolution from a long-running television show into a multi-format digital entertainment brand, adapting to changing audience consumption habits while retaining its family-friendly appeal.

As one of India’s most recognisable comedy franchises, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continues to reinvent itself—this time through animation—bringing the residents of Gokuldham Society to life for a new generation of viewers.
