Following the commercial success of The Kerala Story (2023), reports suggest that The Kerala Story 2 is officially in the pipeline. Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the sequel has reportedly wrapped its shoot and is now eyeing a February 27, 2026 theatrical release, according to industry sources.
While there has been no official announcement from the makers yet, exhibitors have reportedly been informed about the proposed release date.
Shoot Conducted Under Tight Security
Sources indicate that the film was shot under strict security protocols to maintain confidentiality.
“The cast and crew reportedly had no access to their phones during the shoot, and a no-phone policy was strictly enforced to prevent any content leaks,” a source revealed.
The heightened security measures underline the makers’ intent to keep the film’s narrative and visuals under wraps until its official promotional rollout begins.
Legacy of the First Film
