The first look of Nikkhil Advani’s new period drama series, The Revolutionaries, is finally here, and it’s already making waves. With a fresh and powerful cast including Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Jason Shah, the show promises to tell a lesser-known but very important story from India’s freedom struggle.

A Tribute to Young Freedom Fighters

The show is based on the book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom by Sanjeev Sanyal. It focuses on the lives of young Indian freedom fighters who believed that armed resistance was necessary to end British rule in India. These were bold patriots whose bravery and sacrifices helped shape India’s history, even though their stories often remained untold.

According to the creators, The Revolutionaries is not just a show—it’s a tribute to those forgotten heroes who put everything on the line for the country’s independence.

A Grand Production Across India

Currently being filmed across different parts of India—Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi, and Dehradun—the show is being produced on a large scale. The creators are aiming for a visually rich and emotionally gripping series that does justice to the real-life heroes it portrays.

The series will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in 2026 and will be available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

First Look Creates Buzz

The first look has already got fans excited. It shows Rohit Saraf in a rugged new avatar, training in a traditional wrestling pit. Bhuvan Bam, known mostly for his comedy and web series, surprises fans with a serious and intense look that is completely new for him.

Pratibha Ranta, who was praised for her role in Laapataa Ladies, is also seen as a part of the resistance against British rule. The visuals suggest powerful scenes and strong performances are on the way.

He also thanked Amazon Prime Video for believing in the vision and spoke highly of the cast. “We have brought together a fantastic team—Bhuvan, Rohit, Pratibha, and Gurfateh are truly committed to these roles. They are breathing life into these powerful characters,” he added.

Another Period Drama from Advani

The Revolutionaries is Nikkhil Advani’s second historical drama after Freedom At Midnight, which was released in 2024. With this new series, he continues his journey of bringing real Indian history to the screen in an engaging way.
