The trailer of Vrusshabha, starring Mohanlal in the lead, is finally out, offering a glimpse into a visually rich world that seamlessly blends fantasy, drama, and reincarnation. Directed by Nandda Kishore, the bilingual Malayalam–Telugu film is set to release in theatres on December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas.
Mohanlal Shines in a Dual-Timeline Narrative
The 1-minute and 47-second trailer introduces Mohanlal as an influential modern-day businessman whose life takes an unexpected turn when he begins experiencing intense visions from a past life. In those haunting memories, he appears as a powerful king, locked in battles, rivalries, and unfinished destinies that continue to echo into the present.
As these two timelines collide, the film explores how unresolved karma and past-life bonds shape the present, placing Mohanlal’s character at the centre of a journey filled with mystery, emotional conflict, and self-discovery.

A Father–Son Bond at the Heart of the Story
At its core, Vrusshabha is not just about reincarnation or royalty—it is also a deeply emotional story about the unbreakable bond between a father and son. Mohanlal’s son plays a crucial role in protecting him, grounding the narrative in familial emotion as supernatural elements unfold around them.
Mohanlal’s First-Ever On-Screen King Avatar
According to the makers, Vrusshabha marks the first time in cinema history that Mohanlal will be seen portraying a king on screen. His regal presence, commanding dialogue delivery, and majestic visuals have already sparked excitement among fans, who see this role as a landmark moment in his illustrious career.
Star-Studded Cast and Technical Crew
Alongside Mohanlal, the film features an ensemble cast including Samarjit Lankesh, Nayan Sarika, Ragini Dwivedi, Ajay, Neha Saxena, Vinay Varma, Garuda Ram, Ali, and Kishore in pivotal roles.
The film is written and directed by Nandda Kishore, with music composed by Sam CS, cinematography by Antony Samson, and editing by KM Prakash.
Multi-Language Release Planned
Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, Vrusshabha will also be dubbed and released in Hindi and Kannada, making it a true pan-Indian spectacle.
