Actor R. Madhavan’s son Vedaant has provided motivation to all of us with his sporting achievements. And of course, he made his father proud by winning 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 in Madhya Pradesh. This is not only a moment of pride for him but it is an inspiration for all of us to be active and healthy. Taking to Twitter, the actor Madhavan shared the good news with his fans and followers.
In the recent Games, he won gold for winning in the 100m, 200m, 1500m categories while for the 400 m and 800 m events, he won the silver medal. The proud father shared pictures of his son draped with all the medals and penned a heartwarming note, “ VERY grateful & humbled by the performances of @fernandes_apeksha ( 6 golds,1 silver,PB $ records)& @VedaantMadhavan (5 golds & 2 silver). Thank you @ansadxb & Pradeep sir for the unwavering efforts & @ChouhanShivraj & @ianuragthakur for the brilliant #KheloIndiaInMP. So proud.” In a followup tweet, he added, “With god’s grace -Gold in 100m, 200m and 1500m and silver in 400m and 800m.”
Following his glorious achievement, actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood and many other members of the film fraternity congratulated the teenager and the proud father.
Vedaant is a noted swimmer at both National and International levels and has won numerous awards for the country and international level. At the Danish Open swimming event in Copenhagen, Vedaant won the gold medal in the men’s 800m freestyle event, beating local swimmer Alexander L Bjorn. He had earlier won a silver in the 1500m freestyle at the same meet. In March 2021, Vedant won a bronze medal at the Latvia Open and had bagged seven medals (four silver and three bronze) at the Junior National Aquatic Championships last year.
