Reality TV star Asim Riaz has made headlines after several reports claimed he was removed from the reality show Battleground. The reports said Asim had a major argument with judges Rubina Dilaik and Abhishek Malhan, which led to his exit. But Asim has come forward to share his side of the story.
“I Kicked the Script and Flipped the Game,” Says Asim
Asim took to social media to respond to the rumors. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), he said,
“Paid media ain’t got a spine, just a rate card. They print what they’re told, I move when I decide. Keep shouting ‘kicked out’, I kicked the script and flipped the game.”
He also posted a photo of himself from the show’s set with the word “SCRIPTED”, hinting that the show might not be as real as it seems.
Asim Fires Back at Abhinav Shukla
After the incident, Abhinav Shukla, husband of Rubina Dilaik and former reality show contestant himself, spoke out against Asim. In response, Asim clapped back through an Instagram story.
Asim wrote,
“Four judges were having a real conversation… who even called you to jump in? Stop poking your nose everywhere trying to play the hero.”
He accused Abhinav of trying to get attention by getting involved in something that had nothing to do with him.
Asim added,
“People like you only speak up when someone else’s name brings you relevance. This wasn’t your scene, but you forced an entry like you mattered.”
He also warned Abhinav to stop seeking sympathy from fake online comments, saying,
“This is the internet—anyone can type anything. Stand tall or stay silent.”
Asim Responds to Fitness Allegations
Abhinav also made a comment about Asim’s attitude and physical appearance, saying,
“All jacked up muscle, no brain and bad attitude is not a sign of fitness.”
In return, Asim strongly defended himself. He wrote,
“Now about fitness, only a man who’s never lifted will cry ‘steroids’ when someone shows up built different.”
He continued,
“I built this body, this name, this attitude, brick by brick, rep by rep. You call it substances, I call it substance.”
What Really Happened?
The drama began when a promo clip from Battleground went viral. It showed Asim questioning Rubina Dilaik’s role as a judge on a fitness reality show. This led to tension between the judges. Things escalated on set, and according to India Today, the argument got so intense that the production had to stop the shoot.
As per reports, the incident happened on April 17 and involved both Rubina and Abhishek Malhan. Eventually, Asim was reportedly removed from the show after things got out of hand.
