The much-awaited second season of Maamla Legal Hai is officially set to premiere on April 3, 2026, on Netflix. The announcement was made by the makers on Thursday, March 5, confirming the return of Ravi Kishan in his popular role as the outspoken and charismatic VD Tyagi — but with a major twist this time.
VD Tyagi Takes Charge as a Judge
Directed by Sameer Saxena and Rahul Pandey, Season 2 will see VD Tyagi stepping into the role of a judge at the Patparganj District Court. Known for his sharp wit and unconventional style, Tyagi now faces a different kind of pressure — upholding the law from the bench rather than arguing from the floor.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Ravi Kishan shared his excitement about Tyagi’s evolution:
“This season, Tyagi is eager to prove himself as a judge, but it’s a task easier said than done. Yahaan har maamla serious hota hai, par tareeka bilkul hatke.”
His statement hints that while the cases may be serious, the show’s signature humour and satirical tone will remain intact.

A Courtroom Comedy That Found Its Audience
When the first season premiered in 2024, Maamla Legal Hai steadily built a loyal viewership thanks to its satirical take on legal proceedings within a bustling district court. Blending sharp humour with social commentary, the show stood out for presenting courtroom drama through a comedic yet relatable lens.
With VD Tyagi now presiding over the courtroom rather than arguing cases, Season 2 promises a refreshing dynamic. The narrative is expected to dive deeper into unconventional legal battles, bureaucratic quirks, and the everyday chaos of district court life — all while keeping Tyagi at the centre of the action.
Jay-Ho Exclusive
As Maamla Legal Hai returns with higher stakes and a new power equation inside the courtroom, Season 2 is poised to elevate its humour while exploring the challenges of authority and accountability. With Ravi Kishan leading the charge once again, April 3 could mark another successful chapter for this uniquely desi courtroom comedy on Netflix.
