Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films and Prabhleen Sandhu’s Almighty Motion Picture have announced a new horror franchise, Jaani Dushman – Darr Ke Aage Maut Hai, with Bhumi Satish Pednekkar in the lead role. Directed by Arshad Syed, the supernatural horror film is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027.
Set against the backdrop of the United Kingdom, the film will explore a mother-daughter relationship through a narrative involving supernatural forces, family secrets and horror. The project brings together filmmakers associated with the paranormal thriller series Bhay – The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery, while adding an international action and stunt specialist to its creative team.
The announcement also marks another collaboration between T-Series Films and Almighty Motion Picture following Made in India – A Titan Story. With a theatrical horror franchise planned around a family-centred story, the makers are looking to combine emotional drama with supernatural elements and large-scale horror sequences.

Bhumi Satish Pednekkar will headline the upcoming film, which is being positioned as an original theatrical horror franchise. The makers have not yet revealed further details about her character or the supporting cast.
The story will centre on a mother-daughter relationship, with family secrets and supernatural occurrences forming the foundation of the narrative. The UK setting is expected to provide the backdrop for the film’s horror-driven storyline.
For Bhumi, the project adds another genre-led theatrical film to her upcoming slate. However, the makers have not disclosed the film’s complete plot, character details or whether the announced project is intended to launch a multi-film storyline.
