In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Esha Deol admitted the Deols are private people and are not comfortable doing promotions. These days Bollywood stars always try to be in the limelight. But Esha said she can’t just put a random post on social media to draw attention!
Esha Deol isn’t frequently seen grooving at Bollywood parties or attending many award shows. Though she is the daughter of veteran actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini and half-sister to two superstar brothers, Sunny, and Bobby Deol, Bollywood was not an easy ride for her. After a series of her movies tanked at the box office, Esha finally received some success with films like Dhoom (2004), Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004), Kaal (2005), Dus (2005), and No Entry (2005). But she didn’t continue working after that and took a long break from her acting career. Esha returned to acting recently with the web series, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022) and Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega (2023).
“I mean I don’t know the reason why but most of us turned out that way. More than shy, I think our natures are a bit reserved, private side.” – Esha Deol
The Deols are in the news lately for the huge success they are achieving. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has already become a blockbuster hit, breaking all records at the box office. Esha’s short film, Ek Duaa also got recognized in the 69th National Film Awards in the non-feature films category. And their father, legendary actor, Dharmendra awed the audience with his role in the recent hit movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Esha said she still doesn’t understand that celebs should do things in a certain way that makes them visible. She agreed she is not active on social media and if she casually posts a random pic once in a blue moon, she feels awkward about it.
