Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated Indian sister series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. Set to premiere on November 7, 2024, this new series marks the first collaboration between popular actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
At a special event in Mumbai, a fresh teaser for Citadel: Honey Bunny was unveiled, giving fans a glimpse of the action-packed series. Directed by Raj and DK, the teaser features the familiar blue tint associated with their work. It showcases Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in intense action scenes—ranging from gunfights to saving children and taking down villains. The background music includes a modernized version of the classic track Raat Baaki, adding to the series’ high-energy vibe.
The Russo Brothers, known for their work on the Avengers films, are executive producers of Citadel: Honey Bunny. Raj and DK, the creators behind the series, expressed their excitement about the project. Following Citadel: Honey Bunny will be Citadel: Diana, the Italian adaptation, which is set to premiere on October 10, 2024. Additionally, production for the second season of the original Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is scheduled to begin this year, with Joe Russo set to direct.
