The actor revealed that he has officially signed Dharma Productions’ much-awaited rom-com Dostana 2. This marks Vikrant’s first collaboration with Karan Johar, making the update even more special for his fans.
In a chat with Times Now, Vikrant shared, “You will see me doing that soon. I’m doing Dostana 2. I’m doing my first Dharma movie.” The announcement has already set social media buzzing, especially since the film has been stuck in limbo for years.
Lakshya Also on Board for the Sequel
Adding to the excitement, Vikrant confirmed that Lakshya, who recently impressed in Aryan Khan’s debut show The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, will also be playing a lead role. The actor, however, kept mum about the female lead, teasing that it’s a surprise Dharma is holding back for a grand reveal.
Vikrant cheekily added, “You will see me wearing good designer clothes. Karan sir will make sure I wear those fancy sunglasses. Shooting somewhere in Europe. Lakshya is part of the movie. The History of Dostana 2
Originally, Dostana 2 was supposed to star Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Lakshya. However, after Kartik’s fallout with Karan Johar, the project hit major roadblocks. Now, with Vikrant and Lakshya confirmed, Dharma has given the cult franchise a fresh twist.
