Gaurav Taneja Defends Ranveer Allahbadia Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy

YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, also known as Flying Beast, has spoken out in defense of fellow content creator Ranveer Allahbadia. The controversy started after Ranveer made controversial remarks on a now-deleted episode of India’s Got Latent, which featured comedian Samay Raina and other panelists.

Initially, Gaurav had criticized Ranveer for his comments, but now he believes that Ranveer is being unfairly targeted.

Gaurav Reacts to the Controversy

In a recent Instagram video, Gaurav shared his thoughts on the situation. He acknowledged that people had come together to speak out against Ranveer’s remarks, which he found encouraging. However, he now feels that the situation has escalated to an unnecessary level.

He said, “When this BeerBiceps controversy first started, I thought the youth of this country still had some sense. I believed that they would stand up for their traditions and culture, which is absolutely right. A lot of wrong things were said on that show, and that shouldn’t have happened. But what is happening now?”

Selective Targeting?

Gaurav Taneja also questioned whether everyone involved in the show was being held accountable or if Ranveer was being unfairly singled out. He sarcastically remarked, “I am saying, go and find Sundar Pichai now. When you put up videos on YouTube with filthy language, doesn’t the algorithm get to know? Why aren’t you getting Sundar Pichai? Because you can’t. They can only get the guy who is weak. They can harass him. Insane!”

He further emphasized that the legal system should ensure fair punishment based on the severity of the offense. According to him, “Law is not about right vs. wrong anymore. It’s about who can harass whom, and that is what is happening now.”

What Started the Controversy?

The controversy began when Ranveer Allahbadia asked an inappropriate question to a contestant on India’s Got Latent. He was on the judging panel alongside Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), and others. During the episode, Ranveer posed an offensive question to a contestant, asking, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?”

This comment led to widespread backlash on social media. Following the outrage, Samay Raina deleted all related videos. Ranveer later revealed that he and his family had received death threats. Now, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has summoned him to appear for questioning on February 24.

The Bigger Picture

This controversy has sparked a larger debate about content moderation, accountability, and selective targeting. While many agree that Ranveer’s remarks were inappropriate, Gaurav Taneja’s defense raises concerns about whether he is being disproportionately punished compared to others involved.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how authorities handle the case and whether other involved individuals will also face consequences. For now, the discussion around free speech, social media responsibility, and fairness in legal proceedings continues.
