Recently, popular singer Diljit Dosanjh sparked a conversation about India’s live show infrastructure, saying that he wouldn’t perform more concerts in the country until things improved. His comments, made during a performance in Chandigarh, were about the lack of proper facilities for live shows in India. In response to Diljit’s remarks, singer Javed Ali, known for songs like Kun Faya Kun, shared his own thoughts on the matter and explained how much he values the respect he gets from fans in India.

Javed Ali’s Response to Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh had expressed concerns about the concert setups in India, explaining that the country lacks the right infrastructure for live performances. He even said that until the necessary improvements are made, he would stop performing in India. “We don’t have infrastructure for live shows,” Diljit stated at his Chandigarh concert, adding, “I’ll try next time to have the stage at the center, so the audience can be around it. Until this happens, I won’t do shows in India, that’s for sure.”

However, Javed Ali took a more positive approach when asked about India’s concert setups. In an interview, he said that he feels deeply loved and respected by Indian audiences. “Wherever we go, we receive so much love. In our country, people treat artists with great respect. I don’t think such love exists anywhere else,” Javed said, emphasizing the unique and warm atmosphere for performers in India.

The Importance of Respect for Artists

Javed also highlighted that respect and affection from his country’s people matter the most to him. “If you are respected at home, that’s what matters the most. No matter where you go, you won’t find the same joy. I love my country,” he added. His words show how important the emotional connection with the audience is, no matter the infrastructure available.

While Diljit focused on the physical aspects of live performances, Javed pointed out that the love and appreciation artists receive from the audience in India are unmatched. For him, that’s the most significant part of performing.

Javed Ali’s New Song ‘Kismat’

While responding to the conversation around concerts, Javed Ali also shared news of his new song, Kismat. The track, which was created in collaboration with American-Indian composer Ayaz Ismail, was released on December 9. The collaboration came about during Javed’s 2022 USA tour. “It was very interesting. I was on a 40-day tour in America when Ayaz called me to work together. I thought it was a great idea since we had worked before on the song Wirdd, which was much appreciated,” Javed shared.

The song Kismat is now available for streaming on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Ayaz Ismail’s official YouTube channel.

While Diljit Dosanjh’s comments about concert infrastructure raised important questions about the future of live performances in India, Javed Ali’s perspective highlights the unique connection between Indian artists and their audiences. For Javed, the respect and love he receives in his home country outweigh concerns about infrastructure. Despite the challenges, it’s clear that the bond between artists and their fans in India remains strong and irreplaceable.
