After a rollercoaster of controversies, the trailer of ‘OMG 2’ is finally released, leaving fans intrigued and excited. Directed by Amit Rai, the film comprises of a stellar cast, including Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, alongside Yami Gautam, who plays a pivotal role in the narrative.
From the very beginning, ‘OMG 2’ had been embroiled in debates and clashes with the Censor Board, resulting in 25 cuts and modifications. One of the most significant alterations revolved around Akshay Kumar’s character. Initially slated to portray Lord Shiva, the Censor Board’s intervention led to a transformation, now casting him as Lord Shiva’s ‘doot’ or messenger.
The gripping trailer showcases Pankaj Tripathi grappling with societal pressures and facing taunts after an explicit video involving his teenage son goes viral. Fueled by love and determination for his child’s welfare, he decides to take matters into his own hands and embarks on a legal battle against his son’s school.
An ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, Pankaj’s prayers are answered when the Lord himself offers guidance and assistance. It is at this juncture that Akshay Kumar’s character enters the picture, providing support to Pankaj in his search for justice.
