Palash Sen Remembers KK on His Death Anniversary: “You’ll Always Be the Best Singer India Has Ever Heard”

Singer Palash Sen got emotional as he remembered his close friend and fellow singer KK on his death anniversary. On Sunday, Palash shared a heartfelt note and old photos with KK on Instagram. His post touched many fans who continue to miss KK and his magical voice.

A Touching Tribute

Palash posted two throwback pictures on Instagram. The first was a casual photo with KK, and the second was from the sets of a comedy show, also featuring singer Shaan. In his emotional message, Palash expressed his deep love and gratitude for KK.

He wrote,
“Three years ago, you left us and I know you are in a much happier and more peaceful place now. I’ve always said this—I owe my career to you.”

Palash, who became famous in the early 2000s with his band Euphoria, said he will dedicate his stage performance that night to KK.
“You will always be the best singer India has ever heard. Before I go on stage tonight, I will say a prayer for you and sing your song. I’ll be thinking of you, my brother. Miss you. Love you, my bro. Mera yaar… Immortal KK.”

Remembering KK

Krishnakumar Kunnath, known to all as KK, passed away on May 31, 2022, due to a heart attack while performing in Kolkata. After his show at Nazrul Manch, he complained of uneasiness and was taken to the hospital. Sadly, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

KK’s sudden death shocked the entire nation. Fans, friends, and fellow musicians paid their tributes and shared how much he meant to them. He is survived by his wife Jyothy Krishna and their two children, Nakul and Taamara.

KK’s voice has been part of so many people’s lives. He sang some of the most loved songs in Bollywood. His breakthrough song was “Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se” from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). After that, he continued to deliver hit after hit.
