Sonu Sood: The Nation’s Pride Award
Actor, humanitarian, and messiah of the common man, Sonu Sood was awarded ‘The Nation’s Pride’ at the Society Achievers Awards held at Taj Santacruz in Mumbai. Indeed, his evolution from an actor to a producer is worthy but his numerous acts of charity, especially during and after the pandemic and the establishment of the Sood Charity Foundation is indeed heartwarming and noteworthy. Despite the insinuations of his critics, he focuses on contributing to society and uplifting the poor and marginalized rather than replying to needless barbs. As a valued supporter of Jay-Ho! Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show: Best Indian American Talk Show Award
In yet another feather in the show’s cap, Jay Ho ! The Jay Kumar Show was awarded the “Best Indian American Talk Show Award” by Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu on August 19, 2022. The award was given as part of an event celebrating Indian-American women during Women’s History Month. Best known for his relaxed interviewing style that lets celebrities be themselves, the talk show has motivated many people with its stories of overcoming adversity. What began as a seed of inspiration has evolved into a blossoming tree. This scintillating evening was organized by Raj Gupta, Dr. Raju Singla, Mukta Munjal, Rashmi Bedi, and MyDream TV USA. Sargam Koushal: Mrs World 2022
Representing the beauty of Indian women, Sargam Koushal was crowned Mrs World 2022, bringing the crown back to India a second time after 21 years. The beauty pageant was held at Las Vegas and witnessed 63 other candidates participating in the evening. In the final event, Sargam dazzled with a pink gown. Prior to entering the contest, she worked as a teacher and is married to an Indian Navy officer. Despite her dreams of winning a beauty pageant since forever, it was only after her marriage did she work on her dreams, winning Mrs India first and now Mrs World 2022. Link below.
Anup Jalota: Akademi Puraskar
Renowned singer and Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota was recognized for his contributions to Indian music when he won the Akademi Puraskar for 2020 in the music category. He was also among the 128 artists who were awarded the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for 2019, 2020, 2021, which were announced on November 25th. The 69 year old artist hails from Lucknow and is well known for his breakout song “Shirdi ke Sai Baba”. Recently, the singer was seen in the Dhanyavaad Jawan campaign on the Dream 7 channel.
