Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash’s Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic has received CBFC clearance, while reported advance-booking figures have added to the anticipation around its opening.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is approaching its theatrical release, and two key details have emerged ahead of its November 5, 2026 debut: the film has reportedly received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a runtime of 195 minutes, or three hours and 15 minutes.

The certification and runtime information was shared by senior film journalist Taran Adarsh. The development clears the way for the film’s scheduled theatrical release, while its reported advance-booking figures are drawing attention ahead of opening day.

Ramayana Runtime: Film Runs for 3 Hours and 15 Minutes

At 195 minutes, Ramayana will have a substantial theatrical runtime. The duration gives audiences a three-hour-and-15-minute presentation of the first instalment of Nitesh Tiwari’s planned two-part adaptation.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita and Yash as Ravana. Its ensemble and large-scale presentation have made it one of the major theatrical releases on the calendar.

The CBFC’s reported U certification is another significant pre-release update. The film’s certification and runtime details have emerged as attention shifts towards its theatrical rollout.

Ramayana Advance Booking Collection: Reported Pre-Sales Cross Rs 14 Crore

Advance-booking figures attributed to Sacnilk indicate that Ramayana has sold more than 2.90 lakh tickets for its opening day, excluding blocked seats. When blocked seats are included, the reported ticket count rises to more than 3.50 lakh.

The reported advance-booking collection stands at Rs 14.75 crore without blocked seats and Rs 17.67 crore when blocked seats are included. These figures are pre-release estimates and should be read according to the counting method used by the tracking platform.

With the November 5 release still approaching, the advance-booking total may change as more tickets become available and additional bookings are recorded. The opening-day performance will offer a clearer indication of the film’s initial theatrical response.

Ramayana Is Planned as a Two-Part Film

Ramayana is being developed as a two-part cinematic adaptation. The combined budget for both instalments has been reported at approximately Rs 4,000 crore, although the makers have not provided a separately confirmed budget breakdown for each part in the information available here.

An estimate of around Rs 2,000 crore for the first instalment would therefore be an assumption based on an equal division of the reported combined budget, not a confirmed production figure. The distinction matters when discussing the scale and financial expectations surrounding the film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first instalment stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in its central roles. It is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on November 5, 2026.

With its reported CBFC certification, three-hour-and-15-minute runtime and advance bookings underway, Ramayana is entering the final days before its theatrical debut. Its opening-day collection and audience response will be the next major developments to watch.
