Comedian Samay Raina has finally spoken out about the controversy surrounding his show, India’s Got Latent. The issue began when Ranveer Allahbadia made an inappropriate joke on the show, leading to legal trouble and public backlash.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Samay shared a statement addressing the situation. He acknowledged that recent events had been overwhelming and confirmed that he had removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his channel.

Samay Raina’s Statement

In his post, Samay expressed that he only intended to bring laughter and entertainment. He wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”

His response came after Balraj Singh Ghai, a judge and producer of India’s Got Latent, shared photos of Samay and the team on Instagram. The pictures showed Samay in Seattle, USA, performing at a stand-up show, playing chess with Balraj, and spending time with friends.

However, many internet users were not satisfied with his statement. Several social media users criticized him for not apologizing directly.
