In a recent interview with Shivani Pau, Sanjay Kapoor shared insights into his relationship with his brothers, Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor. Despite the inevitable comparisons and competition that come with being in the same industry, Sanjay emphasized that it doesn’t affect their bond. He spoke candidly about their connection and the unique place each of them holds in the family.

Sanjay Kapoor’s Candid Conversation

Sanjay Kapoor addressed the often-discussed topic of success among the Kapoor brothers. He acknowledged that Anil Kapoor is more successful in their acting career but expressed that he, Sanjay, feels happier and more content. “I think even though Anil is more successful than me, I always feel that I am happier and more content than him, for whatever reason. I am always saying God is kind. Even if I’ve achieved less than him, I just feel I’m happier. I’m always in a better mood. I’m not saying he’s sad or anything, but I don’t know how to put it. But I feel I’m more content than him,” he shared.

Sanjay reflected on their upbringing and the strong bond they share. Growing up, the Kapoor brothers lived together in a modest two-bedroom apartment. “We are a very close-knit family. Then you have your children, everything. There are times when I don’t meet Anil or Boney maybe for a month or month and a half also. But we respect each other, we love each other, and we are intelligent enough to know, okay, this is part of movie making,” he explained. Despite their busy schedules and occasional long gaps between meetings, the brothers maintain a deep respect and love for one another.

Sanjay Kapoor’s entry into the film industry was facilitated by his brother Boney Kapoor, who launched him in the 1995 film “Prem” alongside Tabu. Unfortunately, the movie did not perform well at the box office. Nevertheless, Sanjay continued to pursue acting and appeared in films such as “Auzaar,” “Mohabbat,” and “Sirf Tum.” Most recently, he was seen in the Netflix release “Murder Mubarak.”

Anil Kapoor’s Recent Projects

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor has continued to enjoy a successful career in Bollywood. He was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal” and is set to appear in the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer “Fighter.”

Sanjay Kapoor painted a picture of a family that, despite the highs and lows of their careers, remains tightly bonded by love and mutual respect. He highlighted how personal contentment and happiness can differ from professional success, offering a unique perspective on his relationship with his brothers Anil and Boney. While the Kapoor family may be known for their contributions to the film industry, it’s their close-knit ties and enduring support for each other that truly stand out.
