Shanaya Kapoor continues to shine as one of Bollywood’s most stylish Gen-Z fashion icons, and her latest wedding-guest appearance is proof of her evolving sartorial sensibilities. Celebrating the harmony of craft and couture, Shanaya embraced Indian heritage with a modern twist as she attended film director Shauna Gautam’s wedding. Dressed in a stunning Mayyur Girotra couture ensemble with exquisite Indinoor jewellery, she brought together culture, tradition, and youthful glamour with effortless grace.
A Lehenga Inspired by the Richness of Kutch Embroidery
Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Manisha Melwani, Shanaya Kapoor turned heads in an ivory-and-black lehenga from Mayyur Girotra’s newest collection, The Collectables. The designer described the look as “a timeless piece crafted today but destined to become an heirloom tomorrow,” and rightly so.
The lehenga showcases meticulous hand embroidery inspired by the textile legacy of Kutch. Its motifs — including jaali work, peacocks, and age-old patterns — echo traditional Kutch artistry, blending geometric influences from ikkat and patan patola. The ensemble also featured a beautifully woven zari Banarasi dupatta and a choli-cut blouse that added structure and modernity to the traditional design.

Jewellery That Complements Craftsmanship and Personality
Shanaya accessorised the look with ethnic jewellery from Indinoor — a brand she co-creates. Her pieces included the oxidised silver Kayshah earrings, a regal Ophine kundan necklace, and the elegant Nyari Kundan Polki bangle. Each accessory elevated the lehenga’s artisanal aesthetic while adding festive charm. Together, the jewellery and couture struck a perfect balance between tradition and youthful flair.
Modern Desi Glam With a Touch of Old-World Charm
For glam, Shanaya trusted her go-to artists — celebrity makeup experts Stacy Gomes Rao and Remty Garg, and hairstylist Sanky Evrus. The team curated one of her most refined beauty looks yet. Soft, luminous makeup and a sleek, glossy bun created a modern bridal-guest aesthetic ideal for the season.
To enhance the bun, mogra flowers were artistically placed at the base, lending a classic Indian touch reminiscent of vintage Bollywood. The look beautifully combined softness, structure, and timeless elegance.
A Poetic, Glamorous Finale
Shanaya took to Instagram to share a series of photos captured by photographer Kunal Gupta. Staying true to her love for nostalgia, she captioned the post with the iconic Lata Mangeshkar song lyric, “Chalte Chalte Yun Hi Koi Mil Gaya Tha…”, which perfectly echoed the old-world charm of her ensemble. Her fans flooded the comments with praise, calling the look “divine,” “ethereal,” and one of her finest appearances yet.
Jay-Ho Glam
Shanaya Kapoor’s Mayyur Girotra lehenga not only showcased her impeccable style but also highlighted India’s rich textile heritage. She continues to embrace the best of craft and couture, bringing traditional artistry to modern fashion spaces. With each public appearance, Shanaya proves she is more than just a rising star — she is a fashion force in the making. Her look at the wedding was a celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and confidence, leaving a lasting impression on fashion enthusiasts everywhere.
