Son of Sardaar 2 Review: Ajay Devgn Brings Back the Madness

Let’s be honest—we didn’t really need a sequel to Son of Sardaar. But here we are, sitting through Son of Sardaar 2, and somehow… we’re not totally mad about it.

Ajay Devgn is back, this time with even more over-the-top action, louder one-liners, and a plot that’s barely hanging on by a thread. And you know what? That’s kind of the point. This movie doesn’t pretend to be deep or thought-provoking. It’s here to entertain, and it does that in the most absurdly loud way possible.

What’s the Plot? Don’t Think Too Hard

The story? Something about feuds, family honor, slapstick fights, and Ajay Devgn doing slow-mo stunts while surrounded by flying mustaches and exploding barns. There’s also a love angle squeezed in somewhere (hello, Nora Fatehi in a glam cameo), and a villain who looks like he walked out of a 2003 wrestling promo.

It’s not Shakespeare, and that’s exactly what the film leans into. You’re not supposed to take any of this seriously.

Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn Does His Thing (Again)

Ajay Devgn clearly knows what his fans expect: action, swagger, and that deadpan delivery only he can pull off. He gives us all of it—while riding a horse, throwing punches, and occasionally cracking a joke that actually lands.

You’ll roll your eyes one minute and laugh the next. He’s self-aware, and that makes it bearable—even when the script goes completely off the rails.

The Good, The Loud, and The Totally Unnecessary

Let’s break it down:

  • Action? Yes. Loud and completely unrealistic.
  • Comedy? Forced, but lands a few solid punches.
  • Music? High-energy tracks you’ll forget five minutes later.
  • Logic? Doesn’t live here anymore.

But here’s the twist: even when it’s ridiculous, Son of Sardaar 2 keeps things moving. It doesn’t waste your time pretending to be something it’s not.

Harmless Time-Pass

This isn’t the sequel we asked for, but if you’ve got popcorn and a free evening, Son of Sardaar 2 might just be the kind of brainless fun you need. Go in with zero expectations, and you might walk out with a chuckle or two.
